Our obsession to showcase the work we do and the people we support with the pride we feel, has driven us forward to create our new beautiful Concern Universal website.
We prioritise economy, efficiency and effectiveness in all we do and our proud of our low overheads. Our website redesign aligned with this philosophy and we invested in our existing staff to create a website that truly showcases the work we do and the people we support around the world.
Concern Universal’s web team is based in our UK office in Hereford, England. The day-to-day running of the website is managed by our Head of Digital Jamie Hay, closely assisted by the Marketing Communications Coordinator, Alex Floyd. Our governance ensure that we continue to meet the needs of all our stakeholders and uphold our charitable objectives.
Every single day we continue to develop the website, sharing news and stories from our country programmes, fundraising opportunities and more.
We keep things simple. The best way to work together is to create enthusiasm and keep the flow rolling throughout the whole process. Driven by the thought that collaborative & collective work gets the best results we believe in partnership with our entire Concern Universal team around the world. Every great project needs great ideas and our staff are inspiring people who advise us about strategies and new movements in the international development world.

Jamie Hay
Head of Digital
Jamie joined Concern Universal in August 2013 from Boundless Pursuits where he worked as Head of Digital. He is the man behind the Concern Universal digital presence and the project lead on our website redesign responsible for both designing and building the new site.
Outside of his work for Concern Universal Jamie is part of a trio behind America’s first non-stop running relay from LA to Boston, an event that has raised over $600,000 in aid of the victims of the Boston bombings. Jamie has a history of wild and whacky fundraising ideas. He has driven 3,000 miles through Europe filming a human rights documentary, ridden a 3-man tandem bike across Wales and recently returned from shooting an adventure film in India with 40 children suffering from HIV.

Alex Floyd
Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Alex joined Concern Universal in September 2011, following a return to Herefordshire. Looking for a change in career from the Consumer Electronics industry, she joined the team to make use of her first class Journalism degree and passion for communicating. Her role at Concern Universal has achieved her aspiration of personal and professional fulfilment, whilst utilising her hobbies of writing and photography.
Alex has been instrumental in our website redesign, sourcing case stories and photographs from our country programmes along with writing the copy for the new site. Alex is the driving force behind the Concern Universal brand and is passionate about evolving how we communicate to people into a way that makes an impact with all who come into contact with our charity.
You will see Alex at creative writing classes, yoga classes, in the pool or in a pub around Hereford!
