Our Accounts
Concern Universal is in a period of growth- our turnover has trebled over the past decade. Our main source of income is from large scale institutional donations, but it is the generosity of our other donors that ensures we can spend our budget strategically, to maximise our impact and achieve sustainable growth.
A personal connection
We seek to make giving a meaningful experience for you. Some prefer to give completely anonymously, others enjoy taking a deep interest and even visit the work they support. It is our sincere aim to give you such a good philanthropic experience that you would not hesitate to recommend us to others.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much influence will I have over where my gift is spent?
As much as you require, as it is very important for us to build long term relationships with philanthropists. We are always very clear with our donors about our current needs and seek to agree the parameters of any significant donation in the initial stages of the relationship.
How do you keep in touch with your major donors?
We host two London breakfasts each year for our key supporters, which offer a unique insight into our work. We correspond and meet up individually, offering insider briefing and full updates on aspects of our work of particular interest. We take our cue from our supporters, some prefer more contact than others and we respect that.
Where does the majority of your income come from?
The vast majority of our turnover comes from major international institutions, which fund large scale development interventions. These include the Global Sanitation Fund, the World Food Programme, the European Union and international government aid budgets.
How do you measure success?
All the work we do is subject to success measures and Key Performance Indicators. We conduct base line surveys, qualitative and quantitative research, evaluations and also, wherever possible, document our projects with photos.
