Meet Agnes

  • Hello,
  • my name is
  • Agnes.

Meet Agnes. When Agnes’ husband passed away, she was left alone to take care of their six children.

As tradition dictates, she lost her right to land when her husband died. She lived in their small, roofless kitchen shared with her six children…

Agnes Nome 2

For nearly a decade, she survived on small rice hand-outs from her friends.

Agnes milled this rice into flour and sold it for a tiny profit to exist on.

Concern Universal helped Agnes by providing some cassava grinding equipment, so that she could start to make an income by processing a local crop. She then saved up for a cassava grinder, which can make her more money. With her complete cassava processing business, Agnes makes five-times more money than she used to scrape together. She can now afford to send her children to school.

Please help Concern Universal continue to change lives like Agnes’s…
